“The Few.” is an alternative punk project derived from the everyday hardships and happiness of your mid-american life and death story. The music can easily take you in and out of freeing yourself from the depths, and realizing the importance of highs and lows through high energy and harmonic beauty.
The early life of co-founders Dom Goszewski (lead vocals), and Tory Oberreither (bass), before meeting in 2007, consisted of your average middle-class everyday struggles. Although hardships inevitably came one thing they both had were huge loving families, ones who introduced them to music. The coming together of the two happened in 2007 when Dom reached out to get to know the ragged, “Ramones” t-shirt wearing, new kid at school named Tory. The two quickly bonded over their aspirations to start a band, and soon began their first attempt at rallying aspiring musicians to become a kickass live band. Through local musician recommendation in 2013, and just before their first 8 day out of town run, Roger Thomas (drums, vocals) auditioned and joined the band. He surprised everyone with his mastery behind the kit and permanently elevated their sound. Dan Bell (guitarist, backup vocals) joined through an ad they had put out for a guitarist in the area in 2014 after the unexpected departure of the groups original guitarist. Dan quite honestly mystified the group with his large resume of bands he’d been in, his left-handed-ness, and his all-around showmanship nature. Lastly came Mike Miller (lead guitar) in 2016, who they had known from other local acts over the years. It finally clicked when they offered him the position & he brought with him his fun-loving energy that they definitely needed after a long stint of prior hardships.
“The Few.” has toured in 25 states throughout the midwest and east coast regions, bringing their debut album “Sleep Tight, When You Wake Up We’ll Be Gone” with them. The album was recorded in Minneapolis in 2014 and embodies how the band feels on stage. Their live presence captures your attention from start to finish with loud, high energy, in-your-face performances. The first opportunity you get be sure to see them. You won’t regret joining “The Few.”
